Niiwaa — Delete your account and data

You can delete your Niiwaa account and the personal data linked to it at any time.

Option 1 — In the app

1. Open Niiwaa and sign in.
2. Open your profile (top-right avatar).
3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Option 2 — By email (no app needed)

Send a deletion request from your account email to contact@niiwaa.com with the subject “Account deletion request”. We will process it after verifying your identity.

What happens

• Your account is deactivated immediately and scheduled for deletion.
• There is a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel the deletion (sign back within 30 days). After that, your personal data is permanently deleted or anonymized.

What is deleted

• Your identity and account data (name, email, preferences, push token), your relevance votes, and your sessions/devices.

What is kept

• Monitoring data belongs to your organization (the “company”) and is retained by it — deleting your personal account does not delete the company’s monitored topics or articles.
• Security audit records are kept on a legally-required retention schedule (from 3 months up to 3 years), then removed.

Export

You can request a copy of your data before deletion — from the app (profile → export) or by emailing contact@niiwaa.com; the export is sent to your email.

You can delete your Niiwaa account and associated personal data at any time.

Option 1 — In the app

1. Open Niiwaa and log in.
2. Open your profile (avatar top right).
3. Touch Delete account and confirm.

Option 2 — By email (without the app)

Send a request from your account email to contact@niiwaa.com with the subject “Account deletion request”. We will process it after verifying your identity.

What is happening

• Your account is disabled immediately and scheduled for deletion.
• A 30 day grace period allows you to undo the deletion (log in again within 30 days). Then your personal data is permanently deleted or anonymized.

What is deleted

• Your identity and account data (name, email, preferences, push token), relevance votes, and sessions/devices.

What is preserved

• Monitoring data belongs to your organization (the “company”) and are kept by it — deleting your account does not delete the themes or articles monitored by the company.
• Security audit logs are kept for a legal period (from 3 months to 3 years), then deleted.

Export

You can request a copy of your data before deletion — from the application (profile → export) or by email to contact@niiwaa.com ; the export is sent to your email address.
